Twice a year, members have an opportunity to give direct input into the affairs of the Society through the annual and semi-annual general meetings. At the annual general meeting in October, members receive audited financial statements from the previous fiscal year and reports from the Society’s Executive Council. At the semi-annual general meeting in March, members review and adopt an annual budget presented by the Executive Council. The Society’s Constitution and Bylaws can only be amended by a general meeting or by referendum.
The Annual General Meeting is held each October, and includes a review of the society's audit and appointment of society auditors.
The Semi-Annual General Meeting is held each February or March, and includes approval of the society budget and ratification of the Executive Board election and any referenda.
