The call for nominations has been extended for graduate student representatives (2 masters and 2 doctoral) to join the Faculty of Graduate Studies Council for the 2021-2022 academic year. *Please note, this is a different role than being a department representative.

The role of FGS Council is to report to and make recommendations to the University Senate by way of the appropriate Senate standing committees. FGS Council facilitates and enhances communication among academic units with graduate programs. The role of elected graduate representatives on FGS Council is to confer with the graduate student body, provide information to FGS Council, and aid in the decision-making process through voting during FGS Council meetings.

Any graduate student registered in a University of Victoria graduate degree program in the Fall 2021 academic term is eligible to run and to vote in this election. A nomination form is attached.

Nomination Form is available here.

Submission deadline: The submission deadline has been extended to Friday, April 9 at 4:30pm.

Completed nomination forms must be submitted to the Faculty of Graduate Studies by email at
