How is COVID-19 affecting you and your graduate program?

The GSS Executive Board is convening a series of virtual town halls so the Executive Board can hear from our members about their needs as COVID-19 changes how the university operates.

As the university shifts its programming and services, and the federal and provincial government make plans to address COVID-19, the GSS wants to make sure graduate students are included. To do this, we need to know how these changes affect specific programs, and also your daily life.

  1. do you have the academic and financial support you need?

  2. do federal and provincial government emergency supports for students help you?

  3. are your tri-council or research grants affected?

  4. do you have concerns about accessing the library and other campus services?

Join us at one of our two virtual town halls online:

SESSION 1: Tuesday, April 14, 5:30 – 6:30 pm

SESSION 2: Wednesday, April 15, 2:00 – 3:00 pm

To register, email gssoffice@uvic.ca and tell us your name and preferred session and we will send you the video conference information.

If you cannot attend one of these sessions, you can email your thoughts to gssmgr@uvic.ca.
