New to the GSS Events calendar, we are excited to announce that the GSS is hosting a virtual Pecha Kucha presentation night on Friday, August 27 at 6:00 pm Pacific for UVic grad students. We invite grad students at every stage of their research process to present the insights, challenges, opportunities, and/or just plain funny and fun things they are learning as part of their journey to achieving their post-secondary degree.
A Pecha Kucha Night is an event where speakers are invited to show off their presentations. Traditional Pecha Kuchas have been held in person; however, due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, many Pecha Kuchas were held online. For our version of this event we invite presenters to create and share a presentation which contains 15 slides and for which the speaker will only have 20 seconds to speak about the slide before the presentation automatically advances to the next one.
Note: There is currently some strangeness around the way our website is pulling to Google Calendar using the buttons below. If you use the button to add it to your Google Calendar, please ensure you change the time to Pacific (it is currently auto-populating as UTC).
