The GSS is seeking member input on the future of our Food and Beverage Services (aka the Grad House Restaurant). We want to hear from you about whether and how Grad House can re-open. We will be hosting a referendum on this issue alongside our Executive Board elections from March 9-11. Before we vote on exactly what services we should run out of the Grad House space, we want to hear from you! In order to give as many of our members a chance to have their say as possible, we’ll be hosting three town hall events and a survey on member priorities for Food and Beverage Services at the GSS before finalizing our referendum questions.

How can you have your say about the future of the Grad House?

Attend a town hall! All meetings will take place on Zoom.  We tried to ensure as many members could attend as possible by setting up 3 meetings on different days of the week and different times of day. Members are encouraged to attend as many town hall events as they’d like.

Tuesday, January 11, 1-3pm. Link: https://uvic.zoom.us/j/86125419128

Wednesday, January 19, 3:30-5:30pm. Link: https://uvic.zoom.us/j/82297251860

Thursday, January 27, 5-7pm. Link: https://uvic.zoom.us/j/85869495947

To allow as many people as possible to have their say, we have added an additional town hall:

Wednesday, February 2, 10am – noon. Link: https://uvic.zoom.us/j/88435441438

Fill out the survey! The survey will be live from January 10 to February 4. All UVic community members are encouraged to fill out the survey, so share it widely with your profs, students, favourite staff, etc.

The survey is now closed. Thank you so much for everyone who gave us feedback on the future of Food and Beverage Services at the GSS.

Most importantly: Vote in the referendum!
