Students who are on temporary leave under the categories of “Compassionate/Medical Leave” and “Parental Leave” with the approval of Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies are eligible for 12 months of insurance coverage, subject to payment of GSS Extended Health and Dental fees and GSS society fees.
Retroactive tuition fee reversals that include health and dental insurance premiums will result in the retroactive cancellation of your insurance plan. It is your responsibility to contact the GSS to apply for an opt-in within 30 days of the approval of your leave of absence. Proof of approved leave must be provided.
