Showcase your research at the Excellence in Graduate Research Symposium!
The Graduate Students’ Society (GSS), in partnership with the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) and UVic Libraries, is once again hosting a graduate student research day – the Excellence in Graduate Research Symposium (EGRS) as part of Grad Student Appreciation Week (GSAW)!
EGRS is a multidisciplinary research showcase held in the Halpern Centre for Graduate Students on Wednesday, November 5th. There will be poster sessions, presentations, and a multiform virtual session. Applications to participate are welcome from UVic grad students at any point in their research – first years more than welcome!

Grad Student Appreciation Week (November 3rd – 6th) is an event series celebrating UVic grad students, with opportunities for socializing, studying, self-care, and sharing your research. The event line-up this year includes DIY Breakfast Tacos in the Grad House, De-Stress Fest with the UVic Libraries; Beyond Academia: A Career Panel & Networking Event; EGRS; a Successful Supervisory Relationships Panel & Workshop; and Board Games & Brownies with the Innovation Centre!
