Due to COVID-19 restricting access to the campus, UVic has registered most students that would normally be on-campus as off-campus during the summer semester. As a result, students are not being charged for the UPass by default and you will need to opt in (if you want the bus pass, there is no obligation). 

As we are currently working remotely, the best way to opt in is to fill out an opt-in form (available here) and email it to gssoffice@uvic.ca

Once we receive your form, we will send you e-transfer instructions. After receipt of payment, we will let you know that your UPass can be validated.

Validation works a little differently at the moment. As the SUB is closed, cards can only be validated at the University Centre between 7am – 7pm (including weekends).
